MICROBLADING

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent make up treatment that uses a set of tiny needles and pigment to create natural looking elegant brows. It sounds scary, but its not! Tiny cuts are made in the skin and pigment is pushed into these areas, when the skin heals it leaves a tiny hair like mark. Whether you have sparse, overplucked, patchy brows or are suffering from a hair loss condition or if you have been through chemotherapy. The enhancement is perfect for those of you who want to add more colour, definition and create a fuller more structured brow.

Consultation

Before any procedure can be done it is important to come and have a free no obligation consultation where we can discuss what’s involved and the style and shape that you are hoping to achieve. We will also perform a full skin tone analysis to determine what pigments to use to achieve your desired look. A scratch test will also be performed at the consultation.

Preparation

We use mapping string and callipers to measure the face and will then draw your new brows. It is then time to work with you to tweak the drawing and achieve the brow that you are totally happy with. A topical anaesthetic cream is then applied the brow area to minimise any discomfort.

The procedure

The procedure takes about 2 ½ hours. You may feel a scratchy sensation. Some clients find the procedure a little uncomfortable whereas other clients report no discomfort at all.  The topical anaesthetic is topped up throughout the procedure to keep you feeling comfortable. You will be given comprehensive aftercare advice and we will book your re-touch appointment before you leave.

Re-touch

Approximately 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure you will need to come for your re-touch appointment. Here we will check the shape and colour of your new brows and make any adjustments. This procedure will take approximately 90 minutes.

Maintenance.

Permanent make up does fade over time and exposure to sun and skin tone are contributing factors as to when you will require a top up. We recommend booking in 12 -18 months from your completed procedure.
